MUDBRICK PAVILION

The repurposing of The Mudbrick Pavilion as a Community Arts Hub is highly successful.  The Partnership between RECLINK, OPEN PAGE and this committee has been highly successful.

MUDDIE TOILETS

Please be advised that the toilets are now closed to the public for most events.   If you wish your event to include access to the toilet please contact us and arrangements can be made. Otherwise public toilets are available on the other side of the Lions Park

STORAGE ANNEX

Clubs who have need to store material to be primarily used within The Precinct please contact Don Ashby

THE WEBSITE

The website has undergone substantial renovation and now is much neater looking, more interesting (we hope) and streamlined.  We hope you like it.

The calendar is reformatted and all booking now appear on one form. Hopefully this ill remove confusion.

WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH

With this increased intensive use comes a series of issues with which the community must deal.  Heavy usage means heavy rubbish.   We have undertaken intensive and prolonged negotiations with the Shire about them removing the Halls and Recreation Grounds rubbish but while quite prepared to take all the profits from our caravan park they are not prepared to take our rubbish.

Please take away your rubbish at the end of the event.

THE STRATEGIC PLAN

BUILDING UPGRADES

STAND-BY GENERATORS/SOLAR

  1. Substantial diesel generators have be acquired by the COM for our three buildings
  2. Solar upgrades and battery installations are currently underway through a MICROGRID initiative with East Gippsland Solar.

Upgrade work on , The Muddie has begun with new kitchen facilities and The Main Hall will begin shortly. This has been a protracted process lasting over years.  We have good reason to believe that work will begin this year.

THE MUDDIE

  1. New Kitchen
  2. A new all-abilities toilet to be installed inside the building.
  3. Consolidation of storage/Green Room areas.
  4. A new stage.
  5. A dedicated stage control area.
  6. Upgraded stage lighting.
  7. Permanent PA.

THE MAIN HALL

  1. New Kitchen/Foyer (To incorporate current veranda)
  2. New court markings
  3. A disabled lift
  4. New Toilet Facilities
  5. Direct Hall Access to storage.

THE LIONS PARK

A redevelopment plan is currently under preliminary discussion.  Stay tuned.

A NEW PLAN

We are starting to develop our second plan after the successful conclusion of Plan Number One.

The current version of The Plan is available as a PDF on this site – Mallacoota Master Plan

A NEW PIANO AT THE MUDDIE

A new piano has been purchased by Padma Newsome and has been housed in The Muddie.   The old faithful piano and a professional electric piano remains for casual use.
